Secessionist Biscuit Box, Circa 1900, Jugendstil
This biscuit box of the Secessionist period is made of copper and brass and has its original enamelled cut glass liner.
The glass is cut with perfect fine lines along the enamelled green decoration.
The superb piece assembles all the attributes of the Viennese Secessionist art vocabulary: the empty square and space in the metal, the face of the feline, the greek motif, the laurels and the design of the glass decoration.
Outstanding piece and a rare find! Perfect with biscuits, macarons or chocolates!
